Picadillo was created from a simple yet profound longing for the foods and flavors of our childhood. From Pozole to Sopapillas, Chef Ryan Estrada has spent countless hours recreating the dishes they grew up with. For Chef Ryan, it was more than preparing a meal, it was a means of connecting to the heritage and traditions of home. At Picadillo, we believe in the sacredness of every meal and are dedicated to honoring the land, ingredients, people, and stories behind every dish We can’t wait to set the table for you.

The Food

Picadillo's menus specialize in traditional Mexican dishes utilizing in-season, local ingredients from organic and regenerative farms. We love exploring the hyper-regionality of Mexican cuisine and are not bound by any singular definition of "traditional" Mexican cooking. By educating ourselves and those we feed, we build a more complete understanding of the heritage behind each ingredient and the tradition within every recipe.

The Chef

Chef Ryan Estrada was born in El Paso, Texas, and lived most of their lives in the Southwest. Their Mexican and Puerto Rican roots are deeply intertwined in everything they do. Chef Ryan has a diverse working background in the culinary world and art and design. This robust background allows them to create unique and memorable experiences around the dinner table and beyond.
